Step 2 — Name the energy (5 seconds)
Whisper or write: “This feels like ____.”
Examples: fear, pressure, grief, anger, confusion, hope, restlessness.

Step 3 — Choose intention (5 seconds)
Select one anchor: clarity, peace, or direction.

Step 4 — Ask one clean Question (5 seconds)

“What is the most honest next step I can take today about ____?”

This question eliminates drama and removes the demand for guarantees. It returns you to agency.


Why This Works Neurologically

The extended exhale lowers physiological arousal. Naming the emotion reduces limbic activation. Choosing intention engages prefrontal control. Asking one grounded question directs cognitive resources toward action instead of rumination.

In other words: you move from reaction to sovereignty in under 20 seconds.


Mini-Practice: The One Sentence Truth

Write one sentence only:

“If I stop pretending, the truth is ____.”

The first honest sentence is often the cleanest. Do not elaborate. Do not justify. Clarity is usually simple.
